John Paul II Catholic School is a diverse school community dedicated to serving preschool through eighth grade with an emphasis on the development of the Catholic faith and academic excellence. Our students come from Queen of the Holy Rosary Parish, St. Pius X Parish and neighboring communities.
John Paul II is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) Division of Cognia, Inc., meeting the requirements of its rigorous research and evidence-based performance standards, assurances, and policies.
Students learn and celebrate their faith through a variety of activities all with special emphasis on the various seasons of the Church calendar.
The classroom features the Montessori Practical Life, Sensorial, Language and Math materials, motor skills, and manipulative activities. The program also includes elements of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Program.
John Paul II follows the curriculum outlined by the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. Instruction is based on the state-required Common Core Standards, while infusing our Catholic faith, values, and tradition.
Students are involved in a variety of school-related activities including Mathletics, Scholar's Bowl, CYO Sports, Science Olympiad, and the Middle School Musical.
Students give back to their community through service projects, raising money and volunteering for organizations such as Catholic Charities, St. Mary's Food Kitchen, Sunflower House, and Ronald McDonald House.
