Our licensed program is equipped and staffed as a Montessori school where children are allowed to progress at their own pace through a variety of individual and small group activities. Because of the curriculum's design, it is recommended children attend for at least two years.
CLASSROOM FEATURES
Individual records are kept on skills developed by the children and guidance given to encourage the mastery of undeveloped skills. Parent-teacher conferences are held in October and April.
*We not discriminate in regard to race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, physical handicap or sex.
PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT
Parents are welcome to visit the preschool at any time. Field trips as well as parties for Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day are highlights for the children, and give parents an opportunity for involvement.
For more information or to schedule a visit, contact our Director, DONNA HOGUE, at 913-432-6419 or dhogue@archkckcs.org.
The Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas REQUIRES all volunteers (and staff) at our school take a course through the Archdiocese called VIRTUS training. This class is designed to prevent the abuse of God’s children. The program identifies the warning signs of abuse and teaches strategies for maintaining safe environments for children.
If you plan on driving to any field trips, volunteering in the classrooms, helping on field day, on party days, to be a room-parent, volunteering at all you MUST be VIRTUS trained. All parent and grandparent volunteers must have this training and forms from the class turned into the Preschool Office. VIRTUS class can be scheduled through the Archdiocese web site.
